11 year old Entrepreneur
I had my first taste of Entrepreneurship when I was 11 years old. I love expressing myself through writing and before I began writing music, I wrote poetry. At that age, all the boys wanted to do in school was impress the girls. Well, I capitalized on that by having them pay me to write poetry for the girls they liked and it worked like a charm.
After becoming a teen Mom, I realized that my life just wasn’t about me anymore. By the age of 22, I’d gone through five (yes five!) different majors, close to 20 different jobs, and countless days of misery knowing that I wanted to have my own business, impact lives but just not knowing how to do that. Music became my outlet and my therapy to express myself and what I was going through around that time. I had gotten out of an abusive relationship with my youngest children father and I just wanted to find my purpose and path. With three children depending on me for their well-being, I knew it was time to get serious about what I truly wanted to do. Doing something that resonated within my soul.
I Made A Choice And It Chose Me Back
I started school for graphic design and met my marketing teacher through an encounter that would change my life forever. I fell in love with the way businesses could be transformed with clarity, the right messaging, branding, positioning, and an online presence. I started studying everything I could get my hands on regarding branding, digital marketing, website development, and I started my first official company, InnovativEdge Marketing.
I still worked full-time and hated it, but didn’t feel ready to be on my own yet. I was taking some clients, but still felt like a novice. Then one day, when I was shooting a pilot for a new show I created, I was called into the office of my job. It was my day off and I was picking up my check. I was caught off guard, but felt so much peace about it. I knew it was time.
I did everything I knew to do at the time to get business and build, but it was just plain HARD. Learning how to run a business, grow a business, and wear all of the hats lead to A LOT of mistakes. I was gaining some momentum, but still felt that I had a lot more to learn and not enough people who were willing to help me without charging me wayyyy more than I could afford.
Making An Impact
In October 2016, I founded the Creative Entrepreneur Academy to teach entrepreneurs what I wish I would have known from the very beginning, how to start and accelerate their business growth while making consistent cash. Hustling can bring a dollar for the day, but building a business that works for YOU will bring wealth, freedom, and the impact you desire for a lifetime. Through the academy, I have been able to offer live classes, home-study courses, and mentorship. I’ve also been able to reach close to 1000 Entrepreneurs in over 9 different countries. It is my hearts desire that people learn about entrepreneurship in a relatable way that allows them to take what works and apply it in a way that works for their businesses unique path.
And Here We Are Now
I realized at the end of 2017 after a potential business partnership didn’t work out, that I built my business in a way that didn’t truly align with who I am at the core. A creative, authentic, passionate Entrepreneur who has become known for finding solutions to help businesses through some of the toughest problems. InnovativEdge Marketing became Creative Thought Solutions and instead of forcing the business to work, I began to focus on alignment and inspired actions that made even greater impact. The last couple of years, I’ve grown my from a one-woman show to a team of six people specializing in finding creative solutions for companies and helping them accelerate their growth.
P.R.O.F.I.T. System ™
In 2018, working with so many businesses, I realized a recurring pattern of people thinking that they just had a marketing problem but there being so much more. I found that I saw the same “hustle” mentality in them that I once had and aside from Marketing, they were missing the foundational elements that would allow them to stop working so hard for their business so they can work smart and have their business work for them. This is when the P.R.O.F.I.T. system was born. After seeing clients apply the system and seeing them increase by thousands of dollars per month immediately AND consistently, I knew I had to share it with more people so they could get out of the hamster wheel cycle. It became less about just giving information, and more about how my team and I could provide a transformation
